HISTORY
Kunsthall Dikemark - Norway's first interdisciplinary hub for art and mental health .
Trafo Kunsthall moved to Dikemark and changed its name to Kunsthall Dikemark in March 2025 . Trafo Kunsthall has created exhibition at Dikemark since 2016, and has operated Galleri Dikemark and the cultural arena since 2022 on behalf of Asker kommune. The investments and resources put into the work have led the institution in a new direction.
The re-establishment of the art hall at Dikemark marks a new beginning, with a new name and visual identity. Building on the existing administration and network, the art hall has a solid foundation for ambitious artistic and interdisciplinary activity in the years to come. Our work will focus on developing a professional and engaging program of art communication for visitors of all ages — especially children and young people — and on deepening our commitment to audience development through art and mental health.
Kunsthall Dikemark aims to be a space for contemporary art where the framework of art and art institutions is challenged and developed. The experiences at Dikemark have paved the way for a new profile and affiliation for the art hall as an art mediator and exhibition venue.
Kunsthall Dikemark will in the years to come be a unifying meeting place for art, architecture, and site development. We will be an exploratory platform with an emphasis on exhibitions, lectures, and art communication with a focus on art and mental health.

Next to the art hall we have a project room (formerly Galleri Dikemark) which is used flexibly for temporary exhibitions and events throughout the year. The premises are approx. 140 sq m and were renovated by Asker kommune in 2019. The room has good light from large windows, spotlights on the ceiling and access to the dormitory kitchen.
