Seasonal exhibition 2026:
"Thinking freely, as one walks on earth" is Kunsthall Dikemark's second major production at Dikemark after moving from Asker city center in 2025. Kunsthall Dikemark previous Trafo Kunsthall has operated an exhibition space at Dikemark since 2020 with two annual productions. This year's theme is mental health, the works are experienced both indoors and outdoors, in close dialogue with the buildings and the history of the area. What does mental health mean? How can we understand this through art? The art gallery's activities are seasonal, with a main emphasis on one large production during the summer months.
"Thinking freely, as one walks on earth" takes its title from the text "Today is yesterday is today" by Sigrun Slapgard's poetic text about Gitte Dæhlin's artistry. The seasonal exhibition shows sculptures by Gitte Dæhlin, video works by Mohamed Mohamed, a unique commissioned work composed by Eivind Buene, and works from the Dikemark Collection. At Dikemark psykiatriske sykehusmuseum "The Path of Truth through Light and Darkness" is on display – a selection from the collection of works created by former patients. The exhibition is co-produced with the museum. Curated by Anne Siv Falkenberg Pedersen.

I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN is a site-sensitive walking performance and an interdisciplinary ritual that explores grief and our relationship to changing surroundings.
What do we allow ourselves to grieve about – and how do we grieve in Western societies today?
LiLi Re invites you to a performative mourning ritual that explores our emotional relationship with people, places and the non-human world. The performance combines an intimate voiceover, soundscapes, textile installations and physical and vocal expressions, inspired by the practice of 'lamentation' – a collective and bodily language of grief.
By bringing grief into public space and into the collective experience, I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN seeks to create new forms of connection and reflection, weaving together the relationship between grief, care, and place.

ART BIENNIAL // DIKEMARK 2026 Art straight west
Kunsthall Dikemark has a shared space and exhibits together with Bærum Kunsthall and Buskerud Kunstsenter.
The audience can expect to see and experience two-dimensional works by Gelawesh Waledkhani, a performance dinner with Yu Shuk Pui Bobby and an outdoor sound installation by Natasha Barrett. On Friday, September 4, Director of Kunsthall Dikemark , Bjarne Asp will be present.

Kunstarena will be held in the Expedition Building and will run from September 3–6. The Art Biennale itself will run from September 3–13.
