Season opening 2026:
THINK FREELY, LIKE ONE WHO WALKS ON EARTH

It is a pleasure to welcome you to this year's season on Saturday, May 30th at 1:00 PM.

1:15 p.m. – Official opening: 

• Welcome by director Bjarne Asp

• Presentation by curator Anne Siv Falkenberg Pedersen

• Posts by Maritea Dæhlin

• Opening speech by the municipal director in Asker kommune , Lars Bjerke

• Musical performance by musician Torben Snekkestad composed by Eivind Buene.

In addition, this happens throughout the day:

• Food and drinks are sold by Dikemark Sports Association

• Dikemark Psykiatriske Sykehusmuseum is open.

• Drawing workshop with Dikemark Ateliefelleskap (DAF) at the Workshop Building

This year, the public is once again invited to explore the lush and eventful area at Dikemark. This year's theme is mental health, the works are experienced both indoors and outdoors, in close dialogue with the buildings and the history of the area. What does mental health mean? How can we understand this through art?
Dikemark sykehus was once an almost self-sufficient society where farming and gardening were a natural part of patients' treatment. Kunsthall Dikemark works for art, mental health, sustainability and cultural preservation in a broader perspective, based on a humanistic value foundation.
