The autumn thanksgiving festival marks the end of Kunsthall Dikemark's seasonal exhibition with the theme of architecture. Artist and midwife Marthe Berger Walthinsen has been developing the commissioned work Geriljahage since May 2025. The work is an investigation of what we humans do with ourselves and our surroundings. Dikemark as an area is facing an upheaval. At the same time, war and climate change are making the world around us unpredictable. Out of chaos, a new order can grow – and the architect can be understood as a steward.

In line with World Mental Health Day, which this year has the theme of mental health preparedness, the importance of art as a meeting place is being raised. We need a culture that tolerates discomfort and differences, and that helps to normalize mental challenges. We tolerate more when our surroundings create security and belonging. By working together, taking care of each other's values and differences, and achieving something together, the potential lies in building robust and secure people. Social art projects can provide space for reflection, dialogue and shared experiences.

The event is supported by: Asker kommune , Akershus Fylkeskommune , Astri Bruns Creative Fund and Kulturrådet .
