INTERACTION is displayed in Prosjektrommet on Trafo Kunsthall The exhibition is a presentation of Mette Lilletvedt's artistry and shows a selection of her works from the last 40 years. Curator, Lasse Årikstad at Palass (KRS) in Kristiansand, wants to focus on Lilletvedt's original expression and distinctive practice with this exhibition.

Lilletvedt works mainly with textiles in the form of figurative and abstract weavings. She is also an excellent colorist who paints with thread, and the symbolic meaning of color and form forms the basis of her works. The working process is often invisible to others than herself and her closest friends, and she is very dedicated to the process where she works out motifs through diligent work in her studio. She draws inspiration from her own personal experiences, as well as free imagination. In this way, she has created a very unique universe that contains elements of surrealism, mythical creatures, criticism of power and religion.

The exhibition is a collaboration with the artist-run gallery Palass (KRS) in Kristiansand, run by Lasse Årikstad and Mathea Roland. Curator Lasse Årikstad is well acquainted with Lilletvedt's practice, and writes this about their previous collaboration:

“When we started Palass (KRS), it quickly became clear to us that Mette was one of the first artists we wanted to do an exhibition with when we were done with our nomadic existence and had moved into permanent premises. In November 2022, we opened the doors to our premises on Odderøya in Kristiansand with her solo exhibition: Walk, trot, gallop. The exhibition received a brilliant review in Fædrelandsvennen, lots of visitors and she got her first purchase for an art museum when Kunstsilo / Sørlandets Kunstmuseum bought 2 works by her for their collection. Mette has had a number of exhibitions behind her, but perhaps never got the platform she deserves. Therefore, we want to show a broad presentation of her artistry for the exhibition at Trafo from the last 40 years.”
