In the winter of 2024-25, we will have 1,200 school students visiting Olav Ringdal's exhibition ROTVELT.

Artists Regine Stensæth Josefsen and Mari Østby Kjøll welcome the sixth graders in Asker kommune for both a tour and a workshop in connection with DKS. Focusing on Ringdal's fascination with roots, students are invited on a two-part journey of discovery into a landscape filled with imagination, colors, doodles and play. What do we really know about roots and their hidden world underground? Can roots talk or move, and if so, what on earth are they saying and where are they going?

The students are invited to reflect on what a root ball can mean and in the workshop they get to be sculptors and create their own roots using three-dimensional techniques, plaster bandages, steel wire and pigments.
