On the occasion of the last day of the exhibition, Professor Hans-Jørgen Wallin Weihe will give us insight into the history of child welfare institutions and the care of children in a national and international perspective, and how the historical measures point towards today's care institutions and today's challenges.

The topic is also explored in more detail by Hans-Jørgen Wallin Weihe in a concluding essay in the book Valmueslekten . The book is available for purchase at Kunsthall Dikemark throughout the entire exhibition period.

Hans-Jørgen Wallin Weihe is Professor Emeritus of Social Work at the University of Innlandet, Fellow at the Linnaeus Academy in London, Lecturer at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic, Researcher for the Coastal Culture Academy and holds several board positions. He has taught at academic institutions both in Norway and abroad and has published books and articles on many topics.
