ART AND HEALTH with Sophie Rodin
Sophie Rodin (b. 1965) is a visual artist based in Asker. She is interested in drawing and art as an action rather than a product. The physical act of drawing leads to presence in the moment and in the body. Drawing together with others creates community and communication, both of which are health-promoting, regardless of illness or not. Rodin is an observant and figurative artist. She draws what she sees around her and publishes comics and artist books through her own publishing house. In her social drawing projects, Rodin explores the potential of visual art to create meeting places and communities, in Norway and internationally.
