STUDIO TRAFO KUNSTHALL
About Studio Trafo Kunsthall
The summer of 2024 will Trafo Kunsthall (TK) will produce a major seasonal exhibition with the curatorial theme REKREASJON at Dikemark. As part of this major initiative, the institution's administration and exhibition activities will be moved to Dikemark. This will free up large and good premises at Trafo during this period. With Studio Trafo Kunsthall TK therefore wants to update Trafobygget during the summer season and thus ensure that this space can benefit artists.
As the art field is in a difficult situation considering the critical studio situation in Oslo, this measure is also in line with the art hall's role as a social actor. Trafo Kunsthall works with an overall goal of facilitating good working conditions for artists and being a platform for artistic exchange and community.
The internship will conclude with a studio exhibition. In addition, studio visits from Asker Art School will be arranged. All events are open and accessible to the public.
Studio Trafo Kunsthall is located in Trafo Kunsthall's exhibition spaces in Asker in the monumental brick building at Asker Station. The first floor of the building will be used as studio spaces during this period - two spaces in the Kunsthallen, and one in Prosjektrommet .
